Why Apply for
Fellowships With Us

Oncology Fellowships were established to address the growing need for trained and specialised oncology professionals required to deliver comprehensive cancer care in India. Access to qualified oncology specialists, particularly those with DM/MCh degrees, remains limited. With this need in mind, the fellowship programme was launched in 2020, offering two years of training across different oncology subjects.

Eligibility

The programme is open to postgraduate-qualified doctors (MD/MS) in Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Pathology, Radiology, and Anaesthesiology.

Learning

Fellows undergo one year of training at high-volume centres like Tata Memorial Hospital and Centre for Oncopathology (COP), followed by one year at Tata Cancer Care Foundation (TCCF) centres. This approach helps fellows develop their clinical knowledge and apply their skills to diverse cancer cases.

Application Process

Applications are invited through open advertisements, including official communication channels and the TCCF website. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by an expert panel to evaluate their subject knowledge and aptitude for oncology. Applications remain open throughout the year. Interested candidates may apply at their convenience.

Outcome

Trained fellows may be absorbed as consultants across ACCF and TCCF centres in various oncology specialties.
